Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family as was his wish.Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life Thursday evening July 27, 2017, from 6  to 8 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church in West Plains, Mo., with his funeral to follow on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the church also under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains. Mike was survived by his beloved wife, Sundi and two children, Samantha and Dugan and one granddaughter, Makenna Coy Roberts. Mike was also survived by his mother, Evelyn Sepin, his father, Earl Isom, his adoptive father, Ron Kelly; siblings Art Kelly and wife Melody, West Plains, Mo., Erin Kelly, Dallas, Texas, Stacy Salazar, Kansas City, Mo., Joe Isom, Kansas City, Mo., Gina Isom, Kansas City, Mo., Tina Edwards and husband Tom, Platte City, Kansas, and Tracy Bustamante and husband, Miguel, Kansas City, Mo. Countless additional family and friends he called family will miss his amazing smile and ability to make everyone around him feel better just by being near him.Mike’s family appreciates the army of caring individuals who took up the mantle in his battle against cancer.“The Lord will fight for you. Harlan, who preceded her in death Dec. 28, 2014.She is survived by six children, Billy Jackson and wife Sarah, Springfield, Mo.; Bobby Henson and wife Pat, Kansas City, Mo.; Dennis Henson and wife Sue, West Plains, Mo.; Kathy Bentzel, Alton, Mo.; Johnny Harlan and wife Judy, West Plains, Mo., and Debbie Schultz and husband Willie, Caney, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Jackson, Koshkonong, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Penny Harlan, Koshkonong, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, with two others on the way and one great-great grandchild on the way.She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two children, Marie Harlan and Jimmy Harlan; one brother, Cecil Jackson, and one grandson, Billy Jackson Jr.She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.Burial will be in Wayside Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
